How Delta is taking travel to new heights in 2024
After 2023’s record-setting summer across the Atlantic, Delta will be offering your customers more choice, convenience and an enhanced onboard experience to the United States in 2024. Here are some of the highlights of this year and things to look forward to in the New Year when your customers connect with Delta.
New routes…and old favourites
Do you want more ways to reach more of the U.S.? Delta has customers covered. Next year our trans-Atlantic summer schedule will be boosted by even more routes, including new services to the Big Apple from Naples and Shannon, both beginning 25 May 2024; from Munich starting 11 April 2024; to Atlanta from Zurich starting 1 June 2024; and to Minneapolis from Dublin starting 10 May 2024 – Delta’s third U.S. gateway served nonstop from Ireland.*
This month, Delta marks its 45th anniversary of serving Germany, as well as 17 years in Ghana and 16 years of service to Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Delta will be making it easier for customers to get to CES, the world’s largest consumer electronics event, with dedicated nonstop flights from Amsterdam and Paris-CDG to Las Vegas in January 2024. Operated in partnership with Air France-KLM, these offer convenient one-stop connections to Las Vegas from across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India.
Elevated service
Next summer, even more trans-Atlantic Delta flights will feature Delta’s four cabin experiences including luxurious fully flat beds in Delta One, spacious Delta Premium Select seats, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin.
Delta has redesigned its onboard service to deliver a restaurant-style experience in every cabin. Enhanced options to savour include a new Delta One course, regionally inspired meals and a refreshed snack and beverage selection. There is also a wider selection of sommelier-chosen wines, craft beers and, of course, Starbucks coffee.
Always innovating
Customers in every cabin enjoy seat-back screens featuring hours of complimentary premium entertainment via Delta Studio, in-seat power and free mobile messaging via iMessage, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. Wi-Fi is available for purchase on all international flights, while free Wi-Fi is available on domestic flights for Sky Miles members through the new Delta Sync, which is designed to deliver a more personalized travel experience.**
Committed to sustainability
Delta is committed to Net-Zero carbon emissions by 2050. To achieve this ambitious climate goal, we’re revolutionizing our fleet, investing in sustainable aviation fuel, creating operational improvements and electrifying ground service vehicles.
We are also working to minimize waste like single use plastic across the travel journey. Delta has already removed more than 4.9 million pounds of single-use plastics annually since 2022 on its journey to deliver a more sustainable travel experience. We are now in the final stages of trialling paper cups that, once approved and implemented throughout our operations, will help eliminate nearly 7 million pounds of single-use plastic every year.
Award wins
Delta is proud to have received several awards in 2023 including ‘Best North American Airline’ from Business Traveller Magazine, Mission Magazine’s ‘Best Airline for Business Travellers – Long Haul’ and Reisemedia’s ‘Best Business Airline – North and South America”.
In Ghana, Delta was recognized as AMCHAM’s ‘Most Outstanding U.S. Business in Ghana’ and received a prestigious CSR award in recognition of our work with Breast Care International (BCI), the country’s leading breast cancer charity.
Giving back
As well as BCI, which has provided screening for 20,000 people thanks to Delta, we support non-profit organizations in many markets across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. These include The Prince’s Trust in the UK, Junior Achievement in Europe, Africa and India, Pride in London and Amsterdam, children’s hospitals and various charities working to end food poverty.
In June, Delta chartered a Boeing-767 that carried 30 WWII veterans back to Normandy to commemorate the 79th anniversary of D-Day.
Stronger partnerships
All Delta’s trans-Atlantic flights are operated in partnership with Air France, KLM and Virgin Atlantic as part of a joint venture that offers up to 159 daily flights and 33 destinations. This year, Delta strengthened its cooperation with other global airline partners, expanding its existing codeshare agreement with Kenya Airways and forging new partnerships with El Al and airBaltic.
The sky’s not the limit! We look forward to caring for you and your customers at every step of your journey and to welcoming you on board in the New Year.
