Delta and Korean Air Transpacific Joint Venture

Delta and Korean Air Tails

Delta and Korean Air have strengthened their long-standing partnership by creating an industry-leading transpacific joint venture. Together, we offer customers greater choice and wide-ranging benefits including:

A Stronger Network to the U.S.

The new joint venture creates a combined network serving more than 80 destinations across Asia and more than 290 in the Americas.

Korean Air operates nearly 100 weekly flights to 10 gateways in the U.S., including: Atlanta (ATL), Chicago (ORD), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Honolulu (HNL), Las Vegas (LAS), Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO), Seattle (SEA), and Washington, D.C. (IAD). Also, Delta operates three direct routes – Detroit, Seattle and Atlanta – from Seoul-Incheon (ICN) to the U.S.

Following the launch of new Incheon-Minneapolis (MSP) and Incheon-Boston (BOS) service in April 2019, Delta and Korean Air will have 14 U.S. gateways in total – more than any other airline partnership.

More Choice to Asia

Through our joint venture, customers enjoy more access to Japan, with connections to 13 Japanese destinations via Seoul.

Our partnership also offers flights to/from Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Vietnam and Singapore, giving our partnership even greater size and scope and our customers more choice.

An Enhanced Airport Experience

Delta and Korean are co-located in the new, state-of-the-art Terminal 2, at Seoul-Incheon improving international connections between the two airlines and offering a more seamless passenger and baggage transit experience. One of the world’s largest airports, Korean Air’s hub at Seoul-Incheon International Airport is also ranked the world’s cleanest and best international transit airport by SkyTrax.

Delta and Korean Air’s check-in facilities are also co-located at Seattle Tacoma Airport (SEA), which allows both airlines to work closely in the event of irregular operations.

Improved Reciprocal Loyalty Program Benefits

Improved reciprocal loyalty program benefits means customers of each airline now have the ability to earn more miles on Korean Air’s SKYPASS program and Delta’s SkyMiles program.
