5 years in a row: The Points Guy names Delta best U.S. airline

As your partner in travel, we offer service you and your travelers can rely on with award-winning on-time performance, completion factor and in-flight amenities.

Most recently, Delta people are proudly celebrating a silver anniversary of sorts, having been recognized for the fifth year in a row as the best U.S. airline by The Points Guy.

The Points Guy's editorial team reviewed published airline policies and real-time reports between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2022 in its data-focused analysis of cost, availability, reliability, loyalty programs and other factors.

"Once again, Delta showed remarkably consistent performance across the more than two-dozen elements we evaluated," said Nick Ewen, director of content at The Points Guy and the lead author of this year's report. "The data shows how committed Delta is to helping TPG readers — and the traveling public at large — take the trips that matter most to them."

"What we looked at most was reliability," said founder and CEO of The Points Guy Brian Kelly on CBS Mornings recently. "Delta shines there. They are the best run operationally."

"The warm and welcoming experience our people provide for our customers is what keeps Delta climbing,” said E.V.P and Chief Customer Experience Officer Allison Ausband. “While we strive to innovate travel, our people remain our greatest asset and continuously set us apart."

Productivity Power for Your Travelers

Fast, free Wi-Fi is available to your travelers who are SkyMiles members on more than 540 aircraft today and over 700 domestic mainline aircraft serving Delta’s most popular routes by the end of the year. Delta's investment in connectivity is foundational to an ever-more personalized experience, too - with Delta Sync coming to your travelers beginning this summer.

Your travelers who are Delta Sky Club members and are traveling through Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) can relax and recharge in a stunning new nature-inspired oasis on the upper level of the recently expanded G concourse.

The airport’s third Club adds more than 21,000 square feet of premium space to Delta’s lounge portfolio, making it by far the largest at Delta’s Minneapolis hub. The MSP-G Club is the second lounge opened this year, and the third successive new location in the Midwest (following Chicago and Kansas City).

Just this month, Delta opened five additional gates at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) following the initial launch of a new 900,000-square-foot Concourse A in Sept. 2020. The new eastern portion of Concourse A will ultimately feature 22 gates and 19 restaurants and shops. More gates will open later this summer, and the entire portion will be operational by Oct. 31, 2023. All gates on Concourse A are leased and operated by Delta.
