International Ticketing Charge (ITC)   

Effective April 14, 2016, Delta will no longer charge a Direct Ticketing Charge (DTC) for customers who purchase their tickets over the phone through Reservation Sales or in person at airports and other ticket office locations. The International Ticket Charge (ITC) will still apply to tickets issued in the following countries:

  • Austria
  • Belgium
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • Germany
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • Luxembourg
  • Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Portugal
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland
  • UK

 

The level of the charge collected has been coordinated with our SkyTeam® partners pursuant to our ATI alliance codes of conduct.

Applicability

The International Ticket Charge (ITC) will be applied to any revenue or SkyMiles® award ticket purchased over the phone, or in person at an airport ticketing location or Field Ticket Office (FTO), a City Ticket Office (CTO) or a General Sales Agent (GSA).

Exceptions

Delta will not charge the ITC for the following Fare types:

  • SkyMiles Diamond, Platinum and Gold Medallion® members and their traveling companions in the same or separate* revenue or SkyMiles Award ticket PNR.

  • Paper service recovery documents (DBC/TCV/TCH) being exchanged for a ticket

  • Disabled passengers who cannot use delta.com

  • Irregular operations

  • Military and Government fares

  • SkyWish tickets

  • Domestic tickets issued in conjunction with a transatlantic ticket for which the ticket charge has already been collected by Delta.

  • Date changes and any type of reissue, including SkyMiles upgrades since the ticket charge has already been charged when the Economy Class ticket was issued

  • Ticket to ticket reissues

  • Domestic bereavement (BRV) type fare basis codes for domestic bereavement fare-type

  • International bereavement (BRV) type fare basis codes for international bereavement fare-type

  • Infant tickets

  • Child fares

  • UMNR tickets

*Note: Effective February 10, 2012, waiver extended to Diamond Medallion, Platinum Medallion and Gold Medallion members traveling companions booked in separate PNRs provided they are traveling on at least one identical segment as the Medallion member. Cross referencing the PNR using a "to complete party" OSI is required: TCP-W/Delta Record Locator.
