Delta Increases Frequency of Sydney-Los Angeles Routes with its Flagship A350
Delta Air Lines will increase the frequency of its nonstop service from Sydney International Airport (SYD) to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to 10 flights per week, beginning on October 31, 2023, with a further increase to double daily, beginning December 17, 2023.
Delta will operate two flights per day on its flagship Airbus A350-900 aircraft, featuring Delta One suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin services. Due to Delta’s expansive network from Los Angeles, customers can connect to more than 50 cities in the U.S. and Latin America.
“Delta is committed to the Australia market as it led the recovery from the pandemic and drives the growth in the Asia Pacific region,” said Kelly Clive, Country Manager – Australia and New Zealand at Delta Air Lines. “We are excited to offer more options for our customers who travel to the U.S., with the best-in-class travel experience in the air and on the ground.”
Delta will also add to its growing portfolio of Oceania operations with never-before-operated service from Auckland, New Zealand, to Los Angeles, beginning on October 30, 2023.
Delta and Los Angeles World Airports have recently finished the second-to-last major phase of the Delta Sky Way at LAX project, with Terminal 3 now offering another entry point via the west headhouse, as well as a dedicated check-in area for its Delta One customers.
Terminal 3 made its debut last year, featuring with a centralized check-in lobby, expanded security checkpoint and baggage claim area, and one of the largest Delta Sky Clubs in the system.
The final milestone of the Delta Sky Way at LAX project — the airside connector to the Tom Bradley International Terminal — is expected to be completed in August 2023 and will eliminate the need to bus between terminals, creating a more efficient and seamless experience for our customers.
As LAX’s leading premium global carrier, Delta operates nearly 160 peak-day flights to 60 destinations across the globe from LAX, serving 19 of the top 20 markets for Los Angeles customers.
